  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Vicens has agreed to sign a three-year contract with the Portuguese side, with Record reporting that an announcement is expected to be made after City's final game of the season this weekend.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Vicens joined City as an assistant for the Under-18s team in 2018 before taking over as head coach of the youth side two years later. For the last four years he has been Guardiola's assistant.

    Vicens initially agreed to leave City after accepting an over to coach Dutch side Heracles in 2022, but their subsequent relegation before he stepped in resulted in the deal being cancelled.
