    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The Spanish coach says the Parc des Princes club are in a "strange moment" as their motivation has faded in recent weeks, but he insists they have an "obsession" with winning the European crown for the first time in their history.

  • WHAT LUIS ENRIQUE SAID

"We are living in a rather strange moment in the championship, because we are already champions and part of the motivation has disappeared," he told reporters. "We have this obsession with the Champions League. We are in good form and I am sure that we will see a great version of PSG in the Champions League, and [Friday's game against Nice] is a new stage of the Ligue 1 to demonstrate it.

"If someone guarantees me access to the Champions League final in exchange for a defeat in Ligue 1, I accept losing against Nice. If I am assured that by losing against Nice we go to the final, I will sign without a doubt. But since no one can guarantee it and we are an ambitious team, then it is important to arrive against Arsenal playing at 100 per cent."

    WHAT NEXT FOR PSG?

Luis Enrique said he knows what to expect from Arsenal, having faced them already in a 2-0 defeat earlier this season. He said: "I already know Arsenal perfectly, for a very long time. We have already faced them this season. The qualities and the faults that have brought us here are the same."

After the lLigue 1 clash with Nice, his side will travel to north London for the first leg of the Champions League tie next Tuesday.
