The Premier League sides recently sent scouts to keep an eye on the 17-year-old, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The attacking midfielder came through the Flamengo youth academy and has been given a taste of first-team football this season.
He made his senior debut in January when he came on as a late substitute against Audax Rio and went on to score his maiden goal in his first start, scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw against Bangu Atletico Clube. At 16 years old, it made him the youngest scorer in Flamengo's history.
