Kylian Mbappe risks the wrath of Real Madrid as eagle-eyed fans spot shisha pipe in background of photo as attacker visits ex-PSG team-mate Achraf Hakimi

After a poor run of form and being left out of the France squad, Mbappe would have preferred a quiet international break to refocus and return to his best. However, he’s already caught in controversy after fans noticed a shisha pipe in the background of an image the 25-year-old posted on social media.

Mbappe shared a few photos from a recent reunion with former Paris Saint-Germain team-mates Achraf Hakimi and Arnau Tenas. The pair played padel and video games, with Mbappe captioning the post: "Padel & Friends….The perfect Mix."

However, one of the photos caught the attention of eagle-eyed fans as a shisha pipe was spotted in the background. An angry supporter wrote on X: "The fact that Mbappe spends his days off smoking is what I was missing. This guy is laughing at all of Madrid, again."

While there's nothing to suggest Mbappe owns or uses the pipe, the striker still risks the wrath of Real Madrid, especially after he extended his goal drought to four games in the 4-0 win over Osasuna.

Mbappe has faced heavy criticism in recent weeks, and the photo will only provide his critics with more ammunition. It might be wise for him to steer clear of social media before he returns to action with Real Madrid against Leganes on November 24.
