Prime Video has officially entered the NBA broadcast arena, becoming the league’s newest home for live hoops action.
The streaming giant joins ABC, ESPN, NBC, and Peacock in carrying games for the 2025-26 season, but with a high-tech twist. Subscribers can expect a fully immersive viewing experience, complete with the ability to stream multiple games simultaneously and access real-time stats at the touch of a button.
The broadcast team is stacked, too. With iconic play-by-play voices like Ian Eagle and Kevin Harlan, and former stars Dirk Nowitzki and Dwyane Wade adding their insight and charisma, Prime Video is clearly looking to hit the ground running, and steal a bit of the basketball spotlight in the process.
This season, Prime will stream 66 regular-season games, including 10 matchups during the Emirates NBA Cup Group Play, highlighted by five straight weeks of Friday-night doubleheaders from Halloween through November 28. Once Group Play wraps, Prime will have exclusive rights to the knockout stages — from the single-elimination quarterfinals (Dec. 10) and semifinals (Dec. 13) to the NBA Cup Championship Game in Las Vegas on Dec. 16.
But that’s not all. Prime Video will also tip off the NBA postseason with exclusive coverage of the SoFi NBA Play-In Tournament, broadcasting all six games from April 14–17 as teams battle for those crucial No. 7 and No. 8 playoff seeds in each conference.

Prime Videopricing, plans and subscriptions
Amazon Prime offers a 30-day free trial, giving new users a full month to explore Prime Video at no cost. If you’re only interested in streaming, the same trial period applies to Prime Video as a standalone service.
While prices have steadily increased, the ad-free Prime Video bundled with an Amazon Prime membership still offers the best value. The standalone streaming options provide great entertainment, but the added benefits—like free shipping and exclusive deals—make the full Prime membership worth the extra cost.
After all, who can resist late-night shopping with free delivery?
