Team news & squads
Atlanta United team news
Injuries continue to pile up for Atlanta. Jamal Thiare sat out against Colorado with a calf problem, Ajani Fortune was absent due to a foot issue, and both Matthew Edwards and Pedro Amador remain shelved with hamstring troubles.
Still, Aleksei Miranchuk provided a bright spot, leveling the match just two minutes after Darren Yapi’s opener. The Russian playmaker has been red hot of late, finding the net in five of his last six outings across all competitions.
Toronto FC team news
Toronto have fitness concerns of their own. Henry Wingo, Zane Monlouis, and Nicksoen Gomis were all missing last weekend because of lower-body knocks, and their status remains up in the air heading into this matchup.
On the plus side, Jules-Anthony Vilsaint opened his Reds account with a debut strike against Columbus, marking his first goal since arriving from CF Montreal in the deal that sent Matty Longstaff the other way.
