The No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide have spent the past month making their early stumble against Florida State look like little more than a momentary lapse.

Since that setback, Alabama has ripped off six straight wins, driven by a rapidly evolving aerial attack led by Ty Simpson, whose confidence and command seem to grow with every passing week.

On the flip side, things are getting tense for Shane Beamer and his South Carolina Gamecocks. Sitting at 3–4, the Gamecocks are searching for answers after a sluggish start to conference play.

Alabama, now 6–1, hits the road for this SEC showdown coming off a 37–20 victory over Tennessee that highlighted both their offensive precision and defensive poise. South Carolina, meanwhile, is hoping to bounce back from a 26–7 defeat to Oklahoma that underscored their ongoing struggles to find rhythm on offense.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch the Alabama vs South Carolina NCAAF game, plus plenty more.

Alabama vs South Carolina news & key players

Alabama Crimson Tide team news

Alabama is riding a six-game winning streak, highlighted by statement victories over Georgia and Tennessee, and it's been Ty Simpson and the Crimson Tide’s high-flying passing attack leading the charge.

Simpson has looked every bit like one of college football's most gifted pure passers, orchestrating the offense with poise and precision. Surrounded by a dynamic receiving trio of Ryan Williams, Germie Bernard, and Isaiah Horton, he's piled up 1,931 passing yards while averaging an eye-popping 10.8 yards per attempt, tossing 18 touchdowns to just two interceptions.

His efficiency and command have vaulted him into Heisman contention — he's now among the co-favorites — and Alabama's offense sits fifth nationally in EPA per play and 13th in dropback success rate. Simply put, stopping Simpson and company will be a tall order for any defense, especially one as inconsistent as South Carolina’s.

South Carolina Gamecocks team news

For the Gamecocks, LaNorris Sellers has shown flashes of his potential, completing nearly 65% of his throws for 1,134 yards, but the offense has sputtered far too often, averaging just 20.1 points per game, a mark that ranks 115th in the nation. Rahsul Faison has been reliable out of the backfield but hasn’t seen enough touches, while Vandrevius Jacobs has emerged as the go-to target in the passing game. The lack of big plays and struggles sustaining drives have made it difficult for South Carolina to keep pace with SEC heavyweights.

Defensively, the Gamecocks have held their own, surrendering just 20 points per contest and ranking inside the top 30 nationally against the pass. Their secondary has kept opposing quarterbacks in check, limiting them to under 190 passing yards per game. However, the front seven has been less sturdy, giving up over 150 rushing yards on average. Against Alabama’s balanced offense, South Carolina must find ways to generate pressure without overextending, because giving Simpson time in the pocket could turn this one into a long afternoon in Columbia.
