Commentary

That's all from us, we hope you enjoyed the game, and until the next one, goodbye!
That late heartbreak for Wales sees them remain rock-bottom of Group A4, still with just one point and unable to qualify for the Nations League finals. Holland, on the other hand, have almost secured their passage to the next stage, sitting three points and two goals clear of Benelux rivals Belgium with just two games left.
Although the Welsh defence couldn't prevent Depay's late winner, Chris Mepham in particular stood out in a resolute performance. Not only did the Bournemouth defender complete more touches and passes than anyone else in a Wales shirt, he made a staggering four tackles, six clearances, three interceptions and two blocks, winning the ball seven times and so very nearly securing the Dragons a well-deserved point.
What. A. Game! It's a heartbreaking case of deja vu for Wales, who just like in the first game looked to have secured a point late on, only for the Dutch to go straight up the other end and score the winner! What a finish to the game, and after a second half that had been much quieter than the first, the late drama provided one hell of an ending! After two high-quality games of dramatic proportions, a mini-rivalry between these two has surely been born in recent weeks!
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: NETHERLANDS 3-2 WALES.
90' + 5' BLOCKED!!! Bergwijn isn't finished yet either, and races forward, jinking in and out of challenges before having a left-footed shot blocked by Mepham!
M. Depay
Goal
90' + 3' GOOOOOAAAAAAALLLLL!!!! The Netherlands have won it!!!! A wide ball is headed on by Dumfries, and Davies can only head it on further to Depay, who sneaks in at the front post to squeeze it beyond Hennessey!!! What drama here, and what heartbreak for Wales, but what a game!
C. Roberts
Yellow Card
90' + 3' The Welsh celebrations were euphoric to say the least, and Roberts, who appears to have shaken off his injury, is booked for his part in them.
G. Bale
Penalty Goal
90' + 2' GOOOAAAALLLL!!! He's done it!!! Bale, of course, steps up to take the penalty, and dispatches the kick with aplomb, slotting it right into the bottom right corner, beyond the reach of Cillessen, and it's 2-2! Wales' Mr Dependable strikes again!
90' We're into four minutes of added time, but that could go on much longer with an injury ongoing, and a penalty coming up.
89' PENALTY!!! Johnson's clipped ball over the top sees Roberts felled by Malacia in the area, and after Bale can't make anything of the cross, the referee points to the spot! It looks to be a blow to the head for Roberts, who is still down, but once he's up again, Wales will have a spot-kick to level the scores!
88' Thomas cuts inside from the left and whips a low cross into the box, which is clumsily put behind by De Ligt for a Wales corner.
86' Depay twists in and away from Thomas on the edge of the box, before curling a right-footed effort over the bar and behind.
85' CHANCE!!! Bergwijn plays in Gakpo down the left, but his cut-back is brought to an abrupt halt by Hennessey, who takes both man and ball but can't prevent conceding the corner!
85' SAVED!!! Depay looks to create shooting space but is crowded out, so spreads it wide to Dumfries. His low cross resembles more of a shot, one which Hennessey has to stop with his foot!
83' Holland attack in numbers as Malacia finds Depay. The box is too packed for a shot, so Depay tees up Koopmeiners on the edge, but he blazes the ball well over the bar.
82' Thomas drives Dumfries to ground and catches him on the way down, setting off an altercation between the two number 22's which is quickly alleviated by the referee.
E. Ampadu
Yellow Card
80' Ampadu catches Malacia, and none of the ball, as he picks up a pass from De Jong, and the Welsh midfielder is booked as a result.
79' Bale drops deep to head a lofted pass forward but is shunted to the floor by De Ligt, and Wales win a free-kick to reprieve the Dutch pressure momentarily.
77' WIDE!!! What a miss!!! Bergwijn cuts inside and dries at the defence, getting rid of his Tottenham team-mate Davies in the box before spraying his shot well wide of the goal! It looked easier to score from there!
C. Mepham
Yellow Card
75' Depay races onto an aerial ball forward, but is taken out by Mepham, and the referee rightfully books the Welsh defender for the foul.
M. Depay
V. Janssen
73' Janssen also comes off, with Memphis Depay set to replace him up front.
S. Bergwijn
N. Lang
73' The Dutch make a double change, with opening scorer Lang coming off for Steven Bergwijn.
72' BLOCKED!!! The Dutch race clear at the other end as De Jong strides forward. He finds Gakpo, who cuts inside and shoots, but a Thomas block forces a corner! What a passage of play!
72' BLOCKED!!! Thomas tees up Johnson on the edge of the box, but his first-time effort is blocked by Martins Indi! The Welsh players scream for handball, but Wilson's follow-up also comes off Martins Indi on its way into the gloves of Cillessen!
G. Bale
D. James
70' James comes off for Wales, and is replaced up front by one Gareth Bale, to the delight of the travelling Welsh fans in Rotterdam.
69' WHAT A SAVE!! Gakpo is played in down the right be De Ligt but runs out of room. He tees up Janssen on the edge of the box, who's curling effort is tipped wide by Hennessey!
C. Gunter
J. Rodon
67' Rodon's picked up a knock and can't continue, so is replaced by Wales' record appearance holder Chris Gunter.
65' WIDE!!! Wilson plays a ball across to Ampadu, who flicks it up for a volley, but skews his attempt well wide of the target!
65' Ramsey wins possession down the right and drives into the box, but his square ball for Johnson is cut out by De Vrij!
A. Ramsey
M. Smith
63' Smith is the next Welshman to come off, and their former captain Aaron Ramsey comes on for him.
63' Wilson flies in late on Janssen and sends the Holland striker to the floor, conceding a free-kick in a dangerous position for Wales to defend.
61' CHANCE!!! Koopmeiners' ball over the top is missed by Rodon, giving Janssen a chance to shoot, but he can't sort out his feet when the ball drops to him and Hennessey gathers the ball!
59' Lang takes on the Welsh defence, cutting inside and shooting from the edge of the box. A deflection takes the sting out of the shot, but Hennessey only sees it late and can only parry the ball back out before Rodon clears!
58' SAVED!!! What an effort from Johnson! He latches onto James' lay-off and drives through midfield, beating challenge after challenge before shooting from the edge of the box, where Cillessen dives to hold his low effort!
56' De Jong clips the heels of Wilson in midfield, bringing the Welsh winger to ground and conceding a free-kick.
55' This is Wales’ first visit to the Netherlands since a 2-0 away defeat in a friendly in Amsterdam in June 2014, with Arjen Robben and Jeremain Lens on the scoresheet for the Dutch.
53' Lang cuts inside and attempts to find Gakpo on the run with a reverse ball, but his fellow goalscorer can't bring the lofted pass down and it goes out of play.
52' James passes to Thomas at the free-kick, whose cross is headed away as far as Smith. He rushes onto the ball and hits a volley on the fly, but sends the ball flying high over the crossbar.
51' Thomas takes on Dumfries and gets beyond him, but he's scythed down by the Dutch substitute before he can cross, and wins a free-kick on the left edge of the box.
49' SAVED!!! Malacia's clearance is brought down by Janssen on the left, and he switches the ball to the right where Gakpo is in space. He bears down goal, before firing a thunderous shot that Hennessey parries, but Mepham almost puts the rebound in his own net before Ampadu clears!
47' CHANCE!!! After Ampadu fouls Gakpo near the touchline, Koopmeiners whips in the free-kick. It's a low, swerving effort, which is just missed by De Ligt and Hennessey gathers!
46' James gets Wales back underway, and we're off and running in the second half!
C. Roberts
W. Burns
46' Burns comes off for Wales at half-time, with Connor Roberts replacing him.
S. de Vrij
J. Teze
46' Teze is also withdrawn, with Stefan de Vrij coming on at centre-back.
D. Dumfries
H. Hateboer
46' The Netherlands make two half-time changes, with Hateboer coming off for Denzel Dumfries on the right-side of their midfield.
The teams head back out for the second half, and can Wales pull off an unlikely comeback in the next 45 minutes?
Gakpo has spearheaded the Netherlands' attack extremely well, scoring the second goal with his only shot on target. He's had two other shots, and two key passes, whilst winning all of his duels and winning possession three times, including via one tackle.
The half-time whistle blows, and it's advantage Holland at the break! Lang's excellent opener was soon followed by Gakpo's equally skilful finish, and the hosts looked to be cruising. Welsh wonder boy Johnson stepped up minutes later though, smashing the ball into the far corner to give Wales hope! The Dutch remain on top though, and will look to put further daylight between the sides when play resumes.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: NETHERLANDS 2-1 WALES.
45' + 1' We're into a minute's added time at the end of the first half.
45' WIDE!!! A poor Hennessey kick is latched onto by Janssen, who returns serve straight away by firing a good, shot low towards the bottom corner, but it just sneaks around the wrong side of the post!
44' SAVED!!! Holland stream forward through Lang, who finds Malacia outside him. He crosses to the back post, where Hateboer heads the ball down into the ground, and it luckily bounces up into the gloves of Hennessey!
42' The Dutch build a promising attack as Lang plays the ball across to Gakpo. He tees up Koopmeiners, but his first-time effort is blocked by Rodon!
40' Cillessen plays caution a bit too close to the wind, rushing a pass to Teze whilst under pressure from Johnson. James then pressures Teze aggressively, before De Ligt steps in to clear the ball away for Holland.
38' Malacia takes on Thomas and plays a square ball into the box for Janssen, but he collides with Ampadu and the free-kick goes Wales' way.
36' Only Greece (9 games) are currently enjoying a longer unbeaten run in the Nations League than the Netherlands (7 games – W4 D3), while they have scored at least two goals in each of their last five games in the competition (13 in total).
34' Davies bundles Teze to ground but the referee plays advantage, however play is brought to a stop after Janssen is flagged offside from Malacia's ball forward.
T. Koopmeiners
Yellow Card
32' Koopmeiners arrives late and clips Davies off the ball, with the Welsh captain winning the free-kick and the Dutch midfielder going into the book.
30' CHANCE!!! Lang's having fun down the left as he dribbles into the box again, linking up with Malacia. Lang gets the ball back and beats the challenge of Mepham, before Ampadu arrives to put the ball out for a corner!
28' Johnson scored his first goal for Wales last time out against Belgium, becoming the third different player for the Dragons in the Nations League aged 21 or under to score for them. Only England, Georgia and Luxembourg have had more different players to do so.
H. Wilson
Assist
26' The challenge from Wilson was a good one, and the perfectly weighted ball to Johnson gave him a great chance to score, and boy did he bury it!
B. Johnson
Goal
26' GOOOOAAALLLL!!! Wales hit straight back!!! Teze loses out to Wilson in midfield and he finds Johnson on the run. He hits a low shot across goal, which beats Cillessen and rolls into the far corner, striking the post on its way in! 2-1, and game on!
25' Janssen is sandwiched between Rodon and Ampadu and hits the deck hard, but the referee calls play on and Wales keep possession.
C. Gakpo
Goal
23' GOOOAAALLLL!!! There's the second!!! It's Gakpo who gets it, and what a goal it was!!! After latching onto a forward header, Gakpo evades Thomas and drives into the box. He takes on Rodon before shooting, but the ball ricochets off Mepham back into his path, and the PSV striker kept his composure to slot the ball into the bottom corner! What a finish from the young striker, and the Dutch are 2-0 up!
B. Martins Indi
Yellow Card
21' Martins Indi lands a nasty elbow on the back of Johnson's head as the two contest a high ball, and the Dutch defender is booked by the referee.
19' That's Lang's first goal for the national team in just his fifth appearance, and the Club Brugge winger has started this game in electrifying style.
V. Janssen
Assist
17' Wales had looked to be building a good attack, but the transition in possession by the Dutch was too quick for them to handle, and although Janssen's ball still gave Lang a hell of a lot to do, the Belgium-based winger finished it superbly!
N. Lang
Goal
17' GOOOOAAAALLLL!!! What a strike!!! Wales are caught in possession down the left and Janssen feeds Lang. He twists away from both Mepham and Rodon, before setting himself to shoot and firing a low effort beyond Hennessey and into the corner of the net! 1-0 to the Dutch, and what a way to score the opener!
16' Lang takes on Smith and looks to find Hateboer arriving at the back post, but the cross is overhit and goes behind for a Wales goal kick.
14' Wales have only scored one goal in their five away games in the Netherlands, with Dean Saunders scoring to make it 3-1 in a World Cup qualifier in November 1996 - The Dragons would go on to lose the game 7-1.
12' The Netherlands counter at speed, as Janssen finds Koopmeiners in a central position. He shoots from the edge of the box, but his low drive is blocked well by Rodon in cover.
10' Lang cuts inside again and finds Gakpo on the run. He just keeps the ball in play, but his cut-back across goal is intercepted by Mepham and cleared by Thomas!
8' James races onto a ball over the top from Smith, but De Ligt keeps pace with him to hoof the ball behind for a Welsh corner.
7' De Jong is bumped to the floor by Ampadu on halfway, and the Dutch attack is brought to a halt for the free-kick.
5' The Dutch have won all nine of their matches against Wales in all competitions, including their 2-1 victory in the Nations League this month.
3' De Jong pinches the ball from Smith in midfield and surges forward. He looks to play Janssen through on goal, but he's blocked off and dispossessed by Davies.
2' Lang cuts inside and looks to whip a cross into the box, but it's headed away from danger by Rodon for Wales.
1' Janssen kicks off for the hosts, and we are underway in Rotterdam!
The two sides head out onto the pitch, and kick-off is just moments away!
Wales talismans Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey are given rare bench spots to start the game, with Brennan Johnson and Dan James starting up front and Matthew Smith coming into midfield for the injured Joe Allen.
Dutch manager Louis Van Gaal makes a whopping 10 changes to his starting team, with only Frenkie De Jong keeping his place from the 2-2 draw with Poland last time out. Teun Koopmeiners, who scored against Wales in Cardiff, starts alongside him in midfield, but late goalscorer Wout Weghorst is on the bench.

Wales are languishing at the bottom of Group A4, with no wins and just a solitary point to their name, but after losing to a 94th minute winner against the Dutch last time out, Rob Page’s men will be keen on revenge in Rotterdam.
Hello, and welcome to live coverage of this fixture in the UEFA Nations League, as the Netherlands take on Wales.
