Another trophy for Manchester City! Club's Under-18 side beat Leeds United 4-0 to win FA Youth Cup

After a tame start for City, they clicked into gear in the second half, with Justin Oboavwodou netting two minutes after the restart. Jayden Heskey got the second less than 15 minutes later, slotting home from a cross delivered to perfection by Farid Alfa-Ruprecht. It was three in a blink of an eye as defender Stephen Mfuni headed home before Matty Warhurst came off the bench to compound Leeds' misery and make it 4-0 with eight minutes to go.

It was always going to be a tough task for Leeds despite the Whites beating three Premier League youth teams on their way to the final. No EFL side has won the trophy since 2005 and City have been flying in all competitions. They sit second in the Under-18s Premier League North and have lost just four games all season. Leeds are in the same division as the English powerhouse but are 20 points behind them in the standings.

There were some famous families involved in the tie at the Etihad Stadium, most notably in the form of Jayden Heskey and Ben Wilkinson. Heskey is the son of former England international Emile and follows in the footsteps of his father as a goalscorer and striker. Wilkinson is the son of legendary Leeds boss Howard, who won the First Division Championship in 1992, the final season before the Premier League was created.

For Leeds, the season is already over having played all 24 of their Premier League matches. But for City, they have one last outing against Blackburn on Tuesday with the chance to reduce the final gap to neighbours Manchester United to six points before the Red Devils head into the final against the top-placed team in the South division, Chelsea.
