  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Davies, who is in the final year of his contract at Bayern Munich, has been strongly linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena next summer with Real Madrid being his possible next destination. However, his agent Nedal Huoseh has recently refuted rumours of the left-back having an agreement with Los Blancos. He even hinted that the Canadian full-back could consider putting pen to paper on a new contract and extend his stay at the Bavarian club.

Speaking to journalist Philipp Kessler, Huoseh said, "This is not true, though the player has many options, we have not agreed terms with any club. Bayern could also be an option. Any reports suggesting otherwise are incorrect."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 24-year-old has also been linked with a move to Real's arch-rivals Barcelona as the Catalan club are looking forward to signing a left-back who can compete with current first-choice option Alejandro Balde for the position in the starting line-up next season. Flick, who has managed Davies in Munich, is eyeing a reunion with his former player.

Davies has pulled out of the Canada squad for their CONCACAF Nations League matches this month as a precautionary measure. He is hopeful of returning to action for Vincent Kompany's side after the international break as they take on Augsburg on November 22.
