- BY ENTERING (OR OTHERWISE PARTICIPATING) ENTRANTS (AGREE TO THESE OFFICIAL RULES, WHICH ARE A BINDING CONTRACT, SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING. WITHOUT LIMITATION, THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES INDEMNITIES TO THE PROMOTOR FROM YOU AND A LIMITATION OF YOUR RIGHTS AND REMEDIES.
- BY PARTICIPATING IN THE COMPETITION, EACH ENTRANT UNCONDITIONALLY ACCEPTS AND AGREES TO COMPLY WITH AND ABIDE BY THESE “OFFICIAL RULES” AND THE DECISIONS OF PROMOTOR AND ADMINISTRATOR, INCLUDING THE INTERPRETATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THEIR EXERCISE OF DISCRETION, WHICH WILL BE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL RESPECTS.
The Promoter
The promoter is: Footballco US Inc of 7 W 22nd St, New York, NY, 10010
1. Introduction
1.1. The title of the competition is ‘GOAL 8’ which is a weekly football score prediction competition (the ‘Competition’). Entries will be displayed in a league table based on points.
1.2. The competition includes the chance to win a jackpot cash prize, which will be won or shared by eligible entrants who correctly guess all 8 scores in an active game week in active markets the 8 Active Week Matches (as defined below).
1.3. The Goal 8 prediction game is available at:

1.4. These terms and conditions apply if you enter the GOAL 8 weekly football
prediction game.
1.5. You will be deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions and
agreed to be bound by them when creating a GOAL 8 account or submitting
any entry to GOAL 8.
2. How to Enter
2.1. Entry to the Competition is free and no purchase is necessary to enter or win.
2.2. In order to enter the Competition, you must:
2.2.1. register an account (‘Goal 8 Account’) at Goal.com or via the goal mobile application in your own name; and
2.2.2. predict the scores for all six Goal 8 fixtures identified for the relevant domestic league game week (the ‘8 Active Week Matches’);
2.2.3. answer the tiebreaker question (the ‘Tiebreaker’); and
2.2.4. submit your predictions including Tiebreaker answer by the advertised weekly cut-off date and time (‘Prediction Deadline’).
2.3. Predictions must be submitted for the relevant game week by the advertised Prediction Deadline.
2.4. Only one entry per round is permitted per entrant. Once an entry has been submitted, it can be edited before the Prediction Deadline via the Goal 8 Account. If predictions are updated the last submitted update will be registered and the time of the last submission will be taken as the prediction time (the ‘Prediction Time’).
2.5. You cannot change your predictions after the Prediction Deadline and no entries or changes will be permitted after the Prediction Deadline. If any entries are submitted or received after the Prediction Deadline these will be automatically disqualified.
2.6. Only one GOAL 8 Account is permitted to be registered per entrant.
2.7. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of your entry. All entries must be made via the GOAL 8 Account and under no circumstances are you permitted to submit your entry via email or any other means. Any entries submitted by email or any other means will be automatically disqualified.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The competition is only open to legal U.S. residents currently residing in the 50 United States and D.C who are 18 years or over and who are able to receive the Prize if successful, except:
3.1.1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
3.1.2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
3.1.3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
3.2. Where entrants do not meet the criteria set out in clause 3.1, their entry will not be valid and they will not be eligible to win.
3.3. In entering the competition by submitting a prediction, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition, including providing proof of age, residence and identity. The Promoter may supply the information that you have provided to authorised credit reference agencies for the purposes of confirming your identification and for fraud detection and prevention. Personal information you provide will be processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published at https://www.footballco.com/privacy-policy.
3.4. By registering for a GOAL 8 Account, you authorise the Promoter to conduct any identification, credit or other verification checks that it may require (either for the Promoter's own purposes or as required by applicable law or a regulatory body), including (but not limited to) checking any or all of the details you provide when registering or changing your GOAL 8 Account details. In particular, the Promoter may verify that you are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older and that you are resident in the country in which you say you are resident. If the Promoter discovers that you are under 18 years of age following verification checks or that you have not met any other verification criteria, your account shall be closed and all entries will be disqualified from participating in the Competition and/or receiving any Prizes
3.5. Only one entry for the 8 Active Week Matches is permitted per entrant. The Promoter will not accept any entries that are:
3.5.1. not submitted via a Goal 8 Account;
3.5.2. automatically generated by computer;
3.5.3. completed by third parties or in bulk;
3.5.4. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; or
3.5.5. are incomplete.
3.6. Any entry on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
3.7. Any entrant found to be registered in the name of any other person will be disqualified.
3.8. Where an entrant has deleted their GOAL 8 game data or otherwise deleted or closed their GOAL 8 Account prior to the award of any Prize they will no longer be eligible.
3.9. If the Promoter has reasonable grounds to believe that multiple Goal 8 Accounts have been opened by, or are under the control of the same person, or are otherwise being used by the same person, any and all such accounts shall be closed and all entries by such person and/or accounts held by such person will be disqualified from participating in the Competition and/or receiving any prize.
3.10. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of GOAL 8 or the prize competition or otherwise brings football or the Promoter into disrepute.
3.11. Entries that do not comply in full with these Terms and Conditions will be disqualified and will not be eligible to receive any Prizes.
CONDUCT:
The Promotor is not responsible for the actions of entrants in connection with the Competition, including entrants’ attempts to circumvent the Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition. The Promotor reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the participation process or the operation of the Competition, or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promotor to be in violation of the Official Rules, or to be acting in any manner deemed by the Promotor to be unsportsmanlike or disruptive, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person and void all associated submissions and/or entries. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY A USER, YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DAMAGE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE COMPETITION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE PROMOTOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Promotor reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify (or terminate the prize of) any individual who is found to be, or suspected of, acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike, obscene, immoral or disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
4. The GOAL 8 Competition
4.1. In each active game week there will be 8 matches advertised on GOAL 8 that are selected from that week’s applicable domestic league the ‘8 Active Week Matches’.
4.2. The 8 Active Week Matches will be displayed on the GOAL 8 competition page and include:
ï Team names
ï The Match Date and kick off time
ï Score selector to enter your prediction
ï A tiebreaker question to be completed
ï Form (where available): which will shows the last 5 match result
of the teams
ï Popular predictions (where available): which shows the
percentage of Home Draw and Away votes.
ï Odds (where available): that shows the Home Draw Away odds
for that fixture.
4.3. You must be logged into your Goal 8 Account to submit your predictions, submit predictions for all 8 Active Week Matches and the Tiebreaker.
4.4. The Tiebreaker question can by any of the following or other question set for the week by the Promoter:
ï How many goals in total will be scored in the 8 Active Week Matches;
ï When will the earliest goal happen (by minute) in the 8 Active Week Matches (for example 10th minute, 15th minute etc.)
4.5. The cut-off date and time will be displayed and you can update your predictions at any time before the cut-off date and time.
4.6. Predictions must be submitted for the 8 Active Week Matches by the advertised Prediction Deadline. If predictions are updated the last update and time will be registered and be taken as the Prediction Time.
4.7. For all submitted predictions for the 8 Active Week Matches scores will be awarded as follows:
ï 50 points for each correct score predicted. For example if the prediction is: 2-0 and the actual match score is: 2-0
ï 30 points for each correct score difference predicted. For example, if the prediction is: 2-0 and the match score is: 3-1
ï 10 point for each correct home/away/draw outcome predicted.
For example, if the prediction is: 1-0 and the actual match score was different but there was a home win.
4.8. Weekly score total will be the total sum of the points awarded from each of the 8 Active Week Matches.
4.9. Goal 8 Account holders can view a leaderboard that shows the users total points, total participation and user rank amongst total users.
4.10. Tiebreakers will be used to order users in any league leaderboards where they have the same score total. If users have the same score total after the predictor score and Tiebreaker, they will be ordered according to the Prediction Time.
4.11. The data used to determine the scores, league positions and any prizes for the 8 Active Week Matches will be as published on Goal.com as provided by the Promoter’s third party data provider.
4.12. The Competition will run until terminated at the sole discretion of the Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend or modify the Competition at any time at its sole discretion.
5. GOAL 8 account holder Leagues
5.1. GOAL 8 account holders can create leagues or join leagues created by other account holders form within the GOAL 8 Account.
5.2. When a league is created, a unique league code is created and issued. Other users can join the league by using the code. The account holder who creates the league will be the ‘League Owner’.
5.3. Users can only join an account holder league if they know the unique league code.
5.4. An account holder can create and be a League Owner for up to a maximum of 3 leagues and account holders can join up to 5 account holder leagues.
5.5. Each league has a private chat area. Members of a league can write comments and read the comments. The League Owner can moderate the messages.
5.6. Where any comments are posted, you must comply with the content standards set out in the Promoter’s Acceptable Use Policy available at https://www.footballco.com/terms.
5.7. The Promoter has the right to remove any posting if, in the Promoter’s opinion, the post does not comply with the content standards set out in the Acceptable Use Policy,
5.8. Were a GOAL 8 Account holder is in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy the Promoter may suspend or cancel the GOAL 8 Account and all entries by such person and/or accounts held by such person will be disqualified from participating in the Competition and/or receiving any prize.
6. Emails and notifications:
6.1. GOAL 8 Account holders will receive weekly email notifications when an
active game week closes. The email will include:
ï The user predictions that week and weekly total point
ï The user’s position in the overall rankings.
ï If a user has won a prize, it will be indicated in the email.
ï Included details of the next game week’s 8 Active Week Matches.
6.2. If you do not wish to continue receiving the emails:
6.2.1. You can use the unsubscribe link included in all emails
6.2.2. You can opt in and out of emails in the GOAL 8 Account profile page
6.2.3. Or by making a request via the contract details in the privacy notice at:

7. Third party links
7.1. The odds data provided in the GOAL 8 prediction game is provided by third parties which may include links to the third party website. If you use the links you will be redirected to the third party website.
7.2. Where the GOAL 8 webpages or application do contain links to other sites and resources provided by third parties, these links are provided for your information only. Such links should not be interpreted as approval by us of those linked websites or information you may obtain from them. We have no control over the contents of those sites or resources and they are not covered by the privacy policy at: https://www.footballco.com/privacy-policy. If you go through to a third-party website, please make sure that you read the privacy policy for that website.
8. Data protection and publicity
8.1. The Promoter process any Personal Data in accordance with its privacy notice available at https://www.footballco.com/privacy-policy.
8.2. The Promoter will process Personal Data to:
8.2.1. administer GOAL 8 Account, this Competition and the Prizes;
8.2.2. provide details of the 8 Active Game Week Matches as described in
section 6 above;
8.2.3. use GOAL 8 Account holder date including, user usernames,
predictions, city/county to provide score data and league tables including
in an GOAL 8 Account holder leagues joined;
8.2.4. process data about winners to provide the Prizes, check eligibility as
described in section 3.4 and for the announcement of winners as
necessary as set out below.
Entry and registration for a GOAL 8 Account and continued use of the GOAL
6 Account constitutes permission for the promoter to use data for the above
purposes.
8.3. GOAL 8 account holders can at any time from the preference settings in their
GOAL 8 Account:
8.3.1. Update their registration contact details;
8.3.2. Change their email preferences;
8.3.3. Delete their GOAL 8 data;
8.3.4. Delete their GOAL 8 account.
8.4. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates
that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will
publish the winners names and county of Prize winners on its websites. If
you object to any or all of your name being published or made available,
please contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter will not
publish your name, but will still process your data for the Competition and the
Prize administration and must still provide the information and winning entry
to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
8.5. Where requested and subject to any winner's consent, the winner's details
will be included in such other publicity as the Promoter reasonably requires.
9. Prizes
9.1. The Jackpot Prize is $100,000 unless otherwise specified and other prizes may be made available at the sole discretion of the Promoter or be introduced at any time during the Competition.
9.2. The Promoter will publish on the Goal.com websites and applications and notify GOAL 8 Account holders if any Other Prizes are introduced, together with any additional terms and conditions that apply to the Other Prizes. 9.3. Other Prizes if introduced will be in addition to the Jackpot Prize.
9.4. The Jackpot Prize and any Other Prizes are together referred to as the Prizes and each a Prize
9.5. Unless agreed otherwise the prize is not negotiable, non-refundable and non-transferable and there is no cash alternative to non-cash Prizes.
9.6. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prizes (or any part of them) for a prize of equivalent or greater monetary value if necessary for reasons beyond its control.
9.7. The Promoter will not be liable for Prizes that do not reach the winners for reasons beyond its reasonable control.
Jackpot Prize
9.8. The Jackpot Prize will only be available for the original fixture listings for the 8
Active Week Matches as advertised on GOAL 8. If any of the 8 Active Week Matches is cancelled, postponed, abandoned or not completed, the match will be considered void and no Jackpot Prize will be available for those 8 Active Week Matches. Where any fixture is rearranged or reschedule it will; not be valid and it remains that there will be no Jackpot Prize in respect of the 8 Active Week Matches original fixture listings.
9.9. The Jackpot Prize winner will be determined as follows:
9.9.1. The Jackpot Prize is awarded to an eligible GOAL 8 Account holder who correctly predicts the scores in all of the 8 Active Week Matches.
9.9.2. If there are two or more eligible GOAL 8 Account holders that have correctly predicted the score of the 8 Active Week Matches the Jackpot Prize will be won by the player whose is ranked highest based on:
9.9.2.1. the Tiebreaker; or if after ranking on the Tiebreaker there remains two or more eligible GOAL 8 Account holders level on ranking; then
9.9.2.2. on the Prediction Time.
9.9.3. If after ranking based the Tiebreaker and then the Prediction Time there remains two or more eligible GOAL 8 Account holders level on ranking the Jackpot Prize will be split equally amongst those eligible account holders.
9.10. If no eligible GOAL 8 Account holder has correctly predicted the scores in all of the 8 Active Week Matches no Jackpot Prize will be awarded.
10. Winners and Claiming the Prize
10.1. The decision of the Promoter is final in relation to all aspects of the Competition including (without limitation), allocation of the Prizes and no correspondence will be entered into.
10.2. Winners (as determined in accordance with the terms set out in Clause 9 (Prizes)) will be notified via email.
10.3. The Winner will be contacted within 7 days of the 8 Active Week Matches concluding with details of how to claim the prize using the email as registered on the GOAL 8 Account on the date of the 8 Active Week Matches are concluded. If the Prize is not claimed within the time period specified in the notification the claim will become invalid.
10.4. Any announcement made regarding winners is pending verification and is not final confirmation.
10.5. The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner to confirm a valid claim has been received. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available the Prize will become invalid. It is each GOAL 8 Account holder’s sole responsibility to ensure that their contact details are up to date on their GOAL 8 Account.
10.6. Winners will be required to provide verification information requested by the Promoter before they are eligible to receive their Prize, including (without limitation) verification (to the satisfaction of the Promoter) of:
10.6.1. age;
10.6.2. identity;
10.6.3. residence; and
10.6.4. any other verification required to check eligibility criteria.
10.7. If any winner, for whatever reason:
10.7.1. is not able to verify their eligibility or registration information to the satisfaction of the Promoter;
10.7.2. is not able to accept a Prize;
10.7.3. has been found to have breached any of these Terms and Conditions or the Acceptable Use Policy; or
10.7.4. cannot be contacted within seven Days, the Promoter reserves the right to disqualify that winner (and their eligibility to receive any Prizes under the Competition) and if applicable, award the Prize to another participant.
10.8. The Prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
10.9. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the Prize, are not able to be contracted or are otherwise deemed ineligible in accordance with the terms.
10.10. Winners should allow up to sixty days for payment or delivery of the applicable Prize.
11. Waivers and Disclaimers
The Promotor assume no responsibility or liability for: (a) lost, late, stolen, undelivered, inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, misdirected, damaged or garbled registrations, submissions, entries, URLs, or emails; (b) any incorrect or inaccurate entry information, or for any faulty or failed electronic data transmissions; (c) any unauthorized access to, or theft, destruction or alteration of entries, submissions or registrations at any point in the operation of this Competition; (d) any technical malfunction, failure, error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or communications line failure, regardless of cause, with regard to any equipment, systems, networks, lines, cable, satellites, servers, computers or providers utilized in any aspect of the operation of the Competition; (e) inaccessibility or unavailability of the Internet or any website or any combination thereof or for computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Competition, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Competition, the processing or judging of Submissions, or registrations, the announcement of the prizes, or in any other Competition-related materials; (f) any injury or damage to entrants or to any other person's computer which may be related to or resulting from any attempt to participate in the Competition; (g) any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the Prizes, Competition, other associated promotions or relevant football fixtures beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control; (h) any technical failures or unavailability of Goal.com, the goal application, GOAL 8, any GOAL 8 Account, or other related platforms; (i) any technical failures or unavailability of league data or score totals; (j) obvious errors or omissions relating to GOAL 8 or the awarding of Prizes; or any act or default of any third party supplier including without limitation errors relating to GOAL 8, the 8 Active Week Matches or any data regarding the scores or Tiebreaker outcome. If, for any reason, the Competition (or any part thereof) is not capable of running as planned for reasons which may include, without limitation, infection by computer virus, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which may corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, or any changes, cancellation or postponement to the 8 Active Week Matches, then The Promotor reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition in whole or in part. If terminated, The Promotor will award the prizes from among all non-suspect, eligible entries received for the Competition up to the time of such action, via a judging method similar to that described above.

12. General
12.1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or Official rules, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you and any GOAL 8 Account from participating in the competition (including excluding eligibility to receive any Prizes under the Competition).
12.2. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
12.3. If any provision or part-provision of these Terms and Conditions are or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, legal and enforceable. If such modification is not possible, the relevant provision or part-provision shall be deemed deleted. Any modification to or deletion of a provision or part-provision under this clause shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these terms and conditions.
12.4 Promotor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. Entrants agree to waive any rights to claim ambiguity of these Official Rules. Headings are solely for convenience of reference and will not be deemed to affect in any manner the meaning or intent of the documents or any provision hereof.
12.5 In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures and other statements contained in any Competition materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern, and control.
12.6 All decisions as to these Official Rules and interpretations thereof are exclusively within the sole discretion of The Promotor and may be changed from time to time without notice.
12.7 In the event Promotor is prevented from continuing with the Competition by any event beyond its control, including, but not limited to, fire, flood, epidemic, pandemic, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, communications or equipment failure, utility or service interruptions, riot or civil disturbance, terrorist threat or activity, war (declared or undeclared), interference with the Competition by any party, or any federal, state, or local government law, order, or regulation, order of any court or jurisdiction, or other cause not reasonably within Promotor’s control (each, a “Force Majeure” event or occurrence), Promotor shall have the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Competition or any Phase, or any Finalist Package, Grand Prize or any prize.
12.8 Promotor additionally reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion: (a) to modify, suspend or terminate the Competition should causes beyond Promotor’s control corrupt or interfere with the administration, integrity, operation, security or proper play of the Competition; or (b) to disqualify any entrant found to be, or suspected of: (i) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition; (ii) acting in violation of these Official Rules; or (iii) acting in an un-sportsmanlike manner.
12.9 Entrant agrees that all matters arising out of or relating to this competition and these terms and conditions (official rules) are governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Delaware, without giving effect to any of its conflict of laws provisions thereof. Entrant further agrees that any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of or relating to this sweepstakes and these Official Rules shall be brought exclusively in the applicable federal or state courts located in Delaware.
BY ENTERING THE COMPETITION, ENTRANT AGREES THAT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW: (A) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE COMPETITION, OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED, WILL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION; (B) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS WILL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL THIRD-PARTY, OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED (IF ANY) NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), BUT IN NO EVENT WILL ATTORNEYS’ FEES BE AWARDED OR RECOVERABLE; (C) UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY ENTRANT BE PERMITTED TO OBTAIN ANY AWARD FOR, AND ENTRANT HEREBY KNOWINGLY AND EXPRESSLY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SEEK, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS AND/OR ANY OTHER DAMAGES, OTHER THAN ACTUAL OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES NOT TO EXCEED TEN DOLLARS ($10.00), AND/OR ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR OTHERWISE INCREASED; AND (D) ENTRANTS’ REMEDIES ARE LIMITED TO A CLAIM FOR MONEY DAMAGES (IF ANY) AND ENTRANT IRREVOCABLY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO SEEK INJUNCTIVE OR EQUITABLE RELIEF. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
