Eagles vs Vikings Predictions

Eagles vs Vikings Predictions, Picks & Odds: NFL Sunday Week 7

The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (-1.5) are in danger of dropping a third straight game when they head to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings. With neither offense showing much this season, under 43.5 points (-110) is an interesting pick.

Eagles vs Vikings Picks

Goedert in Great Form - Dallas Goedert Anytime TD Scorer (+240)

While the Eagles’ offense hasn’t been anything to write home about this season, Dallas Goedert has been a standout. The eighth-year tight end out of South Dakota State has caught five touchdown passes in the last four weeks of the season.

Goedert has never managed more than five TD catches in a single season, and he has a chance to hit six in seven games. In Week 6 Thursday Night Football, Goedert led the Eagles in targets (11), receptions (9), and receiving yards (110).

Jalen Hurts is looking to find Goedert quite often, and that isn’t expected to change this week. At favorable +240 odds to score a touchdown, I’m going with Goedert to score for a fifth straight game.

Overrated Offenses Face Off - Under 43.5 Points (-110)

It seems the Philadelphia Eagles’ transition from Kellen Moore to Kevin Patullo at offensive coordinator hasn’t been a smooth one. The Eagles ranked fifth in the NFL points per play last season and are at 16th in the league through six games.

Philadelphia has scored just 17 points in both of its back-to-back losses, and the Eagles are facing a tough defensive team today. The Vikings have allowed just 19.4 points per game this season, so I’m not expecting Philadelphia to figure things out against a tough defense.

Minnesota hasn’t exactly been great on offense either, as the Vikings rank 19th in yards per play. A 48-point outburst against the awful Cincinnati Bengals defense is propping up their scoring numbers (24.6 points per game).

This should be a low-scoring slugfest, so take under 43.5 points (-110).

  • Eagles vs Vikings Prediction 2: Under 43.5 Points @ -110 with bet365

Vikings Victory? - Vikings ML (+110)

Minnesota is coming off a bye week, meaning it should get some of its injured offensive linemen back. Former Eagle Carson Wentz has also been filling in admirably for JJ McCarthy at QB, with a 2-1 record in three starts and five TD passes compared to two interceptions.

McCarthy, a rookie, returned to practice this week, but it remains unclear whether he or Wentz will start today. In any case, the Vikings’ offensive numbers are actually better than the Eagles’. The Vikings average more points per game, points per play, and yards per play.

In fact, the Eagles’ offense has averaged just 4.7 yards per play this season, which ranks 28th in the league. It would have seemed unfathomable at the beginning of the season that their offense would be this bad with Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley at QB and RB, respectively.

However, the problems seem to run deeper than on-field personnel, and Philadelphia could enter crisis mode here. Take the Vikings (+110) to upset the Eagles today and hand them a third straight loss.

Eagles vs Vikings Start Time

  • Start Time: 1:00pm EDT
  • Location: U.S. Bank Stadium
  • Address: 100 Sanford Dr, Athens, GA 30602
  • TV & Streaming: Fox, Fubo, Fox One, Hulu, Sling TV, YouTube TV, NFL+

The Vikings (3-2) opened up as underdogs against the Eagles (4-2), but Philadelphia’s offense has looked nothing short of dysfunctional this season. Minnesota and former Eagles QB Carson Wentz will be thinking about pulling off an upset today
