Tusker relieved after Sony Sugar win

Tusker FC registered their fifth win in a row at the expense of Sony Sugar at Ruaraka on Sunday to continue with their surge upwards in the Kenyan Premier League.

Goals from Allan Wanga and Michael Khamati were enough to give the champions maximum points and a move to the fourth position with 21 points. Coach George Nsimbe has lauded his players for their efforts on the pitch despite having a busy week.

"My players were fatigued after mid-week journey, they did not have enough time to rest before our match against Sony Sugar. I am happy with the way they played against Sony and won. It is our fifth win and I am happy with their level of commitment, it was not easy.

"Yes, we have to continue winning our matches that is the most important thing right now; the league is very competitive," he told Goal.

The Brewers face Mathare United in their next fixture.
