Luciano Spalletti has expressed deep concern over the mental state of his Juventus squad following a damaging defeat against Genoa. The Bianconeri boss suggested that the club's current standing in the Serie A table is starting to negatively impact his players' performances on the pitch.

Juventus had the ball but not the cutting edge as Genoa struck twice inside the opening half-hour to end the Bianconeri's recent dominance in this fixture.

With six relegation escapes in eight years, Davide Nicola is viewed as a potential ‘miracle worker’ in the hopes of rescuing Venezia from the drop.

Gian Piero Gasperini has credited a painful European collapse as the catalyst for Roma's convincing 2-0 victory over Genoa. The Giallorossi boss watched his side respond to continental disappointment with a clinical domestic performance that showcased their growing tactical maturity.
