Vancouver Whitecaps team news

The Whitecaps will be forced to make do without several key players through the center of the pitch. Sebastian Schonlau remains unavailable with an Achilles injury, and Tristan Blackmon continues to recover from a knee issue.

German center-back Ranko Veselinovic is also sidelined, missing his 14th consecutive match since suffering a knee injury against San Diego back in July. To make matters worse, top scorer Brian White will once again be absent as he continues his recovery from a thigh problem sustained against the Seattle Sounders on September 28.

FC Dallas team news

For Dallas, the challenge is equally steep. Forward Logan Farrington will serve a suspension after receiving a red card in last week's defeat to the Galaxy.

Injury concerns further complicate matters for the visitors, as Brazilian defender Geovane Jesus remains out long-term with a cruciate ligament tear. He's joined on the sidelines by defensive teammates Herbert Endeley and Enzo Newman, both recovering from knee injuries.
