The Reign’s rising star, though, is 19-year-old rookie Emeri Adames, who has taken the league by storm. With six goals already, she sits atop Seattle’s scoring charts. Most memorably, she struck just nine seconds after halftime against the Chicago Stars on August 18—the quickest goal after a restart in NWSL history. 

That finish not only sealed her place in the record books but also put her in elite company, as she became just the fifth teenager to hit six goals in a single season, joining the likes of Sam Kerr, Mallory Swanson, Trinity Rodman, and Jaedyn Shaw.

For the Wave, French international Delphine Cascarino continues to be the creative spark. The forward leads the club with five assists this season—tied for most in the NWSL—while also adding three goals of her own.
