Tennessee finally got into the win column in Week 5, and it happened in dramatic fashion. Trailing 21–3 late in the third quarter against Arizona, rookie quarterback Cam Ward flipped the script and stole the spotlight. The No. 1 overall pick erupted for 193 of his 265 passing yards in the fourth quarter, leading a stunning rally capped by a game-winning drive. Calvin Ridley was his go-to target, torching the secondary for 131 yards and hauling in a few clutch sideline grabs to set up the decisive field goal. Despite that late surge, the Titans' offense has been one of the least productive in the league, dead last in passing (148.6 YPG), 28th in rushing (85.2 YPG), and sitting 31st in scoring at just 14.6 points per game. Tony Pollard has been reliable but far from explosive, averaging 4.0 yards per carry with only two touchdowns. Protection issues remain a massive concern as well—the offensive line has already conceded 19 sacks, tied for the most in the NFL, while injuries to RT JC Latham and DT Jeffery Simmons continue to complicate things up front.
Las Vegas, meanwhile, is in free fall. After opening the season on a high note, the Raiders have unraveled with four consecutive losses, the most recent being a brutal 40–6 dismantling by the Colts. Geno Smith, brought in to bring stability, has struggled mightily. While he’s thrown for 1,176 yards and six scores, his league-high nine interceptions and 16 sacks have derailed drives and zapped momentum. Statistically, the Raiders rank 18th in total offense (322.8 YPG), but their scoring output tells the real story, they sit 30th in points per game (16.6) and are converting just 35.7% of their red zone trips into touchdowns. Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty has been one of the few silver linings, averaging 4.3 yards per carry and finding the end zone four times. Still, with an offensive line that struggles to generate push or consistency, sustained drives have been few and far between.
