After 79 minutes of their clash with Watford, Wolves fans could be forgiven for looking ahead to a first FA Cup final appearance since 1960.
Having been made slight favourites by the bookmakers before the game got underway, goals from Matt Doherty and club record signing Raul Jiminez had given Nuno Espirito Santo's side a commanding 2-0 advantage.
Doherty opened the scoring with his fourth strike of the FA Cup campaign, only Newport Country striker Padraig Among has netted more in the competition this term.
The introduction of Gerard Deulofeu as a 66th minute substitute though, turned the tie on its head as the former Barcelona man spearheaded a 40/1 (41.0) Wembley comeback from the Hornets.
First Deulofeu netted Watford's opening goal with a little over 10 minutes of normal time remaining. Troy Deeney then won and converted a penalty in the dying seconds to send the clash into extra time. Once again it was the 25-year-old Spaniard that came for the fore, slotting home the only goal of the additional half an hour.
bet365 made Wolves just 1/250 to reach the final moments before Watford first found the net with the Hornets priced at 40/1 (41.0) to qualify from the tie.
The Hornets will contest the FA Cup final for the second time in their history, the first coming in 1984 when finishing as runners up to Everton. Wolves though, have now lost their last five semi-final clashes in this competition.

Gracia's side have been made 4/1 (5.0) underdogs to lift the trophy as they face Manchester City (1/6) on May 18.
The teams have met twice in the Premier League this season with Pep Guardiola’s side emerging victorious on both occasions, although Watford did get on the scoresheet in each of those encounters.
