In a stunning display of talent, teenager Luke Littler has captured the public imagination by sensationally reaching the final of the PDC World Championship at Alexandra Palace. Having stormed to the semi-final, Littler continued his incredible run by beating former world champion Rob Cross 6-2 in the last four on Tuesday night.

With a remarkable 101.93 average and five maximums, the teenager overwhelmed Brendan Dolan in the quarters with a 5-1 victory before guaranteeing himself £200,000 prize money with his stunning win over Cross, that saw him average 106.05 and hit 16 180s.

Littler started his tournament run with a historic 3-0 win over Dutchman Christian Kist, averaging 106.2, the highest ever achieved by a debutant at the event. He continued his rich vein of form to triumph over Andrew Gilding 3-1 in the second round.

Littler became one of the two debutants to make it to the fourth round after overcoming Matt Campbell with a 4-1 victory and then outclassed Raymond van Barneveld by the same margin in the fourth round. And on New Year's Day, he got the better of Dolan to become the second debutant to reach the semi-final of the tournament after Nathan Aspinall in 2019.

Reflecting on his tournament so far after the hugely impressive win over Cross, Littler said: "I haven't got the words. It's crazy. I have just settled on that stage. It has not even sunk in yet.
