The USATF Outdoor Championships serve as the primary qualifier for the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo (September 13–21), with the top three finishers in each event (who’ve achieved the qualifying standard or world ranking quota) booking their spots for Team USA. For reigning 2023 world champs already granted automatic entries, the meet is a showcase to flex their dominance or test fitness before Tokyo.

Sunday’s schedule (Aug. 3) is jam-packed, with 14 championship finals—including:

Men’s & Women’s 200m Finals: Sprinters Noah Lyles, Fred Kerley, Gabby Thomas, and Sha’Carri Richardson are all expected to light up the track.

110m Hurdles Final: Grant Holloway and Daniel Roberts square off for national bragging rights and a ticket to Tokyo.

Distance Showdowns: The 1,500m races promise tactical fireworks, with a loaded men’s field featuring Cole Hocker, Yared Nuguse, and Hobbs Kessler, while the women’s 1,500m includes Nikki Hiltz and Elle St. Pierre.

Field Event Battles: Tara Davis-Woodhall headlines the women’s long jump, joined by stars in the triple jump, pole vault, and throws. Joe Kovacs and Valarie Allman add world-class heft to the throws.
