The undefeated Missouri Tigers are set for their biggest test of the 2025 campaign as they welcome the one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide to Columbia for a marquee Week 7 clash.

The Tide come in red-hot, sitting at No. 8 in the nation after back-to-back statement wins over top-25 foes Georgia and Vanderbilt. That early stumble against Florida State feels like a distant memory now, as Alabama's squad—loaded with experience and discipline—looks every bit like a playoff contender once again.

As for Missouri, the Tigers enter Week 7 unbeaten and ranked No. 14, fresh off a dominant 42–6 thrashing of UMass. But this will be Missouri's first real litmus test against an elite SEC opponent. The numbers are sparkling, but they've yet to face a team with Alabama's depth, speed, and physicality.

Here, GOAL brings you everything you need to know about how to watch the Missouri vs Alabama NCAAF game, plus plenty more.

Missouri vs Alabama team news & key players

Missouri Tigers team news

Quarterback Beau Pribula barely missed a beat in that one, going 26-for-29 for 241 yards and a touchdown, while Ahmad Hardy continued his breakout campaign with 130 yards and three scores on the ground. Kevin Coleman Jr. was the go-to target, hauling in 12 receptions for 108 yards. The Tigers have been an offensive juggernaut, eclipsing 40 points in four of their five outings and never trailing after halftime. They rank fourth in total offense (547.6 ypg) and seventh in scoring (45.2 ppg), with a ground game that ranks third in the nation (292.0 ypg)—a testament to their balance and physicality.

Defensively, Missouri has been a nightmare for opponents. They sit second nationally in total defense (203.8 ypg), first against the run (62.4 ypg), and 12th in pass defense (141.4 ypg). Linebacker Josiah Trotter has been the heart of the defense with 26 tackles and five tackles for loss, while Damon Wilson Jr. has emerged as their primary disruptor with 3.5 sacks. Through five games, the Tigers have surrendered just four touchdowns and limited foes to a mere 3.5 yards per play. Their red-zone defense has been practically impenetrable, and they’ve been clean with the ball—just four turnovers all year.

For Pribula, this game is about proving he can make big throws under pressure. He'll need to take more chances downfield to keep up with Simpson’s aerial fireworks. Meanwhile, if Hardy can crack Alabama's front seven and the defense can limit explosive plays, Missouri has every ingredient needed to make a statement under the lights at Faurot Field.

Alabama Crimson Tide team news

Leading the charge is quarterback Ty Simpson, who has been nothing short of clinical this season. The junior signal-caller has carved up defenses with a 70.3% completion rate, tallying 1,478 yards, 13 touchdowns, and just a single interception. In the rout of Vanderbilt, Simpson threw for 340 yards and two scores while adding poise and rhythm to the offense. Behind him, Jamarion Miller has powered the ground game with 136 yards and a touchdown last week, helping Bama maintain balance. The Tide offense hums at 452.2 total yards per game and 36.4 points, ranking among the top 30 nationally, with a lethal passing attack that sits top-five in the FBS at 325.4 yards per outing.

Defensively, Alabama remains a machine. The Tide rank 21st in scoring defense (16.0 ppg) and 20th in total defense (285.8 ypg), anchored by a secondary that’s stifling opponents to just 130.4 passing yards per game—fifth-best in the nation. Linebacker Justin Jefferson leads the group with 29 tackles, while safety Bray Hubbard has been a ballhawk with two picks and several key breakups. If there's one chink in the armor, it's the run defense, which sits at 86th nationally (155.4 ypg). But Bama has compensated with clutch red-zone stands and well-timed takeaways. The Tide have yielded only six touchdowns in their past three contests and even kept Georgia to 21 points despite giving up over 200 rushing yards.

Experience gives Alabama a clear upper hand heading into Columbia. They've already been battle-tested against ranked opponents, handing both their first defeats of the season. The offensive line has been steady, allowing just nine sacks in five games, while the receiving duo of Germie Bernard (392 yards, 5 TDs) and Ryan Williams (336 yards, 3 TDs) continues to stretch defenses vertically. If Bama can bottle up Missouri's rushing attack and force Beau Pribula into third-and-long scenarios, they’ll be in prime position to control the clock and keep their SEC streak alive.
