Both teams are in the thick of the race for a place at the 2026 World Cup, and on Tuesday night, Trinidad and Tobago will make the trip to Stadion Ergilio Hato to lock horns with Curacaoin a crucial CONCACAF Group B qualifier.
After three rounds of action, the hosts lead the way with seven points, while their Caribbean rivals sit third on four, following a much-needed 2-0 victory over Bermuda on Friday.
Curaçao, rejuvenated under veteran boss Dick Advocaat, are flying high after a statement 2-0 win over Jamaica, with goals from Livano Comenencia and Kenji Gorré sealing all three points. That result means the Blue Flames have now collected seven points from a possible nine and are starting to look like genuine contenders to reach their first-ever FIFA World Cup.
For Dwight Yorke’s Trinidad and Tobago, it’s been a mixed bag — a win, a draw, and a loss in their three fixtures so far. Still, their recent 3-0 dismantling of Bermuda at the National Stadium showed a glimpse of what they’re capable of when things click in the final third.

Team news & squads
Curacao team news
Curacao are expected to stick with much of the same XI that brushed aside Jamaica. At the back, the reliable pairing of Jurien Gaari and Armando Obispo should marshal the defense once again, while brothers Leandro Bacuna and Juninho Bacuna are set to continue pulling the strings in midfield.
Up front, Jurgen Locadia remains the focal point, likely flanked by the lively duo of Jearl Margaritha and Sontje Hansen out wide.
Trinidad and Tobago team news
The visitors, meanwhile, finally showed teeth in attack last time out, with Levi Garcia spearheading the offense. Expect him to be joined by dynamic wingers Dante Sealy and Tyrese Spicer, who both impressed in flashes against Bermuda.
At the other end, the center-back partnership of Josiah Trimmingham and Kobi Henry will once again aim for a shutout, but they’ll need another assured performance from goalkeeper Denzil Smith to keep Curacao's in-form attack quiet.
