WATCH: Can Ranieri-less Leicester stop the rot? The Goal Pressure Index Week Four

Leicester City welcome Liverpool to the King Power Stadium on Monday desperate for a win after swapping the pressure of last season’s title run-in for a relegation dog fight.

The Foxes sacked coach Claudio Ranieri this week after losing – and failing to score – in their last five consecutive Premier League matches, a run that has left them just one point clear of the drop zone with 13 games remaining.

Assistant manager, Craig Shakespeare, and first-team coach, Mike Stowell, will take charge knowing that defeat would see them become the first reigning league champions to lose six matches in a row since Everton in 1929.

The pressure will also be on at the other end of the table, as Chelsea host Swansea City at Stamford Bridge eager to keep up the momentum as they close in on the Premier League title.

Antonio Conte’s side sit eight points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur and all eyes will be on Blues striker Diego Costa, who has scored seven goals in his four Premier League games against Swansea, more than he has against any other side in the competition.

His rate of 1.75 goals per game against the Swans is the best of any Chelsea player against a particular opponent in Premier League history (minimum four games against them).

A former leader of the rankings, Costa has dropped to seventh on the Goal Pressure Index, presented by Sure and powered by Opta data, which provides the first ever system to measure and rate a team and player’s performance under pressure.

The Goal Pressure Index uses more than 750,000 data points as well as factors including league position, point in the season and the opposition to calculate a rating out of 100 for every Premier League player every week.
