The Lakers have gotten off to a strong start this season with an 15-4 record despite not having superstar LeBron James available for 14 games due to a nerve issue in his leg. James was finally able to get back onto the court against the Utah Jazz where he put up 11 points and 12 assists to kick off his 23rd season in the NBA. Fellow star Luka Doncic also hasn't missed a beat since getting James back on the court and has averaged 37 points since his superstar teammate returned.
Phoenix on the other hand has been able to remain competitive in the face of injury. Phoenix currently four games behind the Lakers in the Western Conference despite not having high-scoring stars Jalen Green, Bradley Beal, and several others whom are out with injuries.
During the absences of Green and Beal, Devin Booker has carried the load offensively as he usually tends do by averaging 25.7 ppg.

LeBron James sat out his first game since returning to the court this season when the Lakers faced off against the New Orleans Pelicans Sunday night. James missed the first night of LA's back-to-back games due to left foot injury management.
After missing the initial 14 games of the season James has averaged 16 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.3 rebounds through four games.

Despite navigating multiple injuries the Suns have gotten out to a better start to the season than many expected as they currently sit at 12-9. Phoenix has lost three of their last four games and will be looking to get back to the winning ways of the three-game unbeaten streak they went on before the current rut.
