La Liga weekend preview: Betting tips and predictions

Real Sociedad vs Athletic Bilbao - Under 2.5 goals at 4/6 (1.65) with bet365

Basque derbies tend to be tense, tight affairs and Sunday night's meeting in San Sebastian between these two rivals should be no different.

Both teams boast excellent defensive records with Athletic having the meanest backline in the division conceding just six times and La Real keeping seven clean sheets in their 11 league games this term.

This bet has paid out in four of the last five meetings between the sides and has an excellent chance of doing so this weekend.

Sevilla vs Osasuna - Osasuna to score at 5/6 (1.83) with bet365

The side from the city of Pamplona are in excellent form scoring in eight of their last nine league games.

In Kike Garcia and Chimy Avila they boast two energetic and aggressive strikers who can cause Seville problems and Julen Lopetegui's men have been a little shaky defensively in recent matches.

After a superb start, Sevilla have conceded in three of their last four matches and there is valuing in backing the in-form visitors to net at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan.

Atletico Madrid vs Real Betis - Over 2.5 goals at evens (2.00) with bet365

Manuel Pellegrini's men are one of the form teams in La Liga and they head to the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano following a their biggest win of the season in midweek, a 4-1 demolition of Valencia.

Betis are the second top scorers in the division and boast two of La Liga's most exciting and creative players in Nabil Fekir and Sergio Canales, as well as two excellent strikers in Borja Iglesias and Willian Jose.

The visitors can certainly contribute to a high-scoring encounter in Madrid on Sunday and five of Atletico's last seven games in all competitions have seen at least three goals.

Cadiz vs Mallorca - Mallorca to score before 71 minutes at 5/6 (1.83) with bet365

Luis Garcia Plaza's side have scored 10 goals this season and eight of them have come in the first half.

If matches lasted 80 minutes then Mallorca would be in the European places but late lapses in concentration have cost the side from the Balearic Islands.

Cadiz meanwhile have conceded before the 71st minute in nine of their 11 matches this season making this an excellent looking bet.
