Defensively, the Buffs were disruptive up front last season, racking up 37 sacks and 52 QB hurries. Though they lost top contributors like B.J. Green, they return ends Arden Walker and Samuel Okunlola, and Amari McNeill anchors the interior. Transfer additions like Jehiem Oatis (Alabama) should help soften the blow.

As expected, the Buffs were busy in the portal, bolstering both sides of the trenches and the secondary. They also suffered heavy losses, particularly at corner, running back, and along the O-line. Still, the cupboard isn’t bare: Seaton is a future star, Walker and Okunlola are poised for All-Big 12 campaigns, and Salter arrives as a Conference USA MVP and Maxwell Award finalist. Add in kicker Alejandro Mata, one of the most seasoned legs in the country, and there’s still plenty to build around in Year 3 of the Prime Era.
