  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The 22-year-old, who is a product of the club's youth set-up, was an impressive performer in the first few months of the current campaign when Paul Mullin was nursing his punctured lung. He marked his first league start since 2020 earlier in the season with a goal against Walsall and then went on to score in successive matches by finding the net against Swindon Town as well. Bickerstaff has been impressive whenever called into action by Phil Parkinson and his efforts have been rewarded with a new contract that will see him stay at SToK Cae Ras until the summer of 2026.

“Jake’s earned his new contract," Parkinson said. "He’s a player we feel who has potential and we look forward to seeing him develop further over the course of his new contract.”
