WHAT HAPPENED?
The Reds are willing to listen to offers for the Portuguese striker, recent reports claim, with Wolves said to be eager to bring him back to Molineux ahead of next season.

The Anfield side have set a minimum demand of around £43 million for the Portugal international, Empire of the Kop reports. As well as Wolves, Villa and Newcastle are preparing to make summer bids for him.

Newcastle could have an advantage over their fellow suitors because of Liverpool's interest in Alexander Isak. The Anfield club are in a battle with Arsenal to land the Swedish striker and while the Magpies would rather not sell him, it's possible they could be talked into letting him go if Jota heads to St James' Park as part of the deal.

The 28-year-old joined Liverpool from Wolves in 2020 but his involvement has been limited by injuries in each of the last three seasons. Nevertheless, he has managed 65 goals and 23 assists in 176 appearances for the club. He has won two Premier League titles and is on track to win a third as Arne Slot's team sit 11 points clear of Arsenal.
