Nicolas Jackson is back! Goal-shy Chelsea handed huge boost as first-choice striker steps up recovery from injury

Jackson has not featured for Chelsea since the club's 2-1 Premier League win over West Ham at the start of February after sustaining a hamstring injury. However, he is now back in training and expected to return to action following the international break. Chelsea confirmed on Wednesday that Jackson has been working out on the grass as he steps up his recovery from injury.

The news will be a huge boost to Enzo Maresca who has been hit hard by injuries in attack and see his team struggle for goals with Marc Guiu, Cole Palmer and Noni Madueke also sidelined. Maresca has also seen Mykhailo Mudryk suspended from football in the wake of a positive drugs test, while Jadon Sancho has struggled for form and has not scored for Chelsea since December. Chelsea have suffered a slump in form in 2025 but remain in fourth place in the table and are into the quarter-finals of the Conference League.

Jackson has scored nine goals and bagged five assists in the Premier League so far this season for Chelsea.

Maresca has previously said he expects Jackson back after the international break and will hope to name him in his squad for Chelsea's next game against Tottenham on April 3.
