    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The club started the 2023 season with Gerhard Struber as their manager but after his departure, Troy Lesense took over for the remainder of the campaign. Earlier in November, Lesense's contract was not extended.

Now, Schwarz will look to build off it.

Schwarz was in charge of the Mainz reserves team and their senior side for four years between 2015 to 2019 before joining Moscow where he spent two seasons. In 2022, he took charge of Die Alte Dame.
