WHAT HAPPENED?
According to GOAL, Rashford's representatives have been informed of the club's intention to pass his number on to the Brazilian. It has long been expected that Rashford will leave his boyhood club this summer after a falling out with manager Ruben Amorim and a loan move to Aston Villa in the second half of the 2024-25 season.

The want-away forward is one of five first-team players who have declared their intention to leave the club. Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia, Antony and Rashford have all been excused from reporting to pre-season training so they can focus on securing a move away from Manchester.
