  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    WHAT AMASS SAID

Amass said: "It’s helped me grow as a person and a player, but especially off the pitch, growing up as a young lad and trying to grow into a man. When I first signed, it was about developing as a player, getting better, which I think I’ve done. Next is to keep working hard, to show that people can trust me and that I’m a good person off the pitch as well as a good player. Keep giving my best and hopefully get more minutes."

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

United have struggled in the wing-back areas, with Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu often used on the right-hand side and Luke Shaw injured for much of the campaign. Having scooped this prize, Amass has an opportunity to make the left-sided position his own.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?

The 18-year-old will hope to feature in next week's Europa League final, when United take on Tottenham in Bilbao. They also have two Premier League matches against Chelsea and Aston Villa still to play.
