  • WHAT HAPPENED?

According to Fabrizio Romano, officials from United got in touch with Sesko's camp to discuss the terms of a potential contract. The club, however, will face competition from Premier League rivals Newcastle, who presented their proposal to the player a week ago amid concerns Alexander Isak could move on and after missing out on Hugo Ekitike.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Newcastle have been left rocked by the news that star striker Isak wants to leave the club this summer and as a result, they have put Yoane Wissa and Sesko on their shortlist for a new forward. However, Wissa's transfer seems uncertain as Brentford have so far refused to sell the Congo international.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

United, on the other hand, have strengthened their attack by signing attackers Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. However, Ruben Amorim will still want a quality No.9 signing before the 2025-26 campaign kicks off.
