WHAT HAPPENED?
Monaco are looking to reinforce their goalkeeping department and have zeroed in on Onana, as revealed by L'Equipe. The Ligue 1 outfit are looking for an upgrade on Radoslaw Madecki and Philipp Kohn, and they believe that the United shot-stopper can provide the much-needed assurance between the sticks.

DID YOU KNOW?
Onana's current deal runs until 2028 and will not come cheap. United spent £47.5 million ($64m) on the insistence of Erik ten Hag to lure him from Inter in 2023, and would look to recoup at least £30m ($40.5m). Whereas an initial loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause can also be inserted, as they seem desperate to get him off their books and make room for Aston Villa's Emi Martinez.

Monaco are looking to spend big this summer and have also been linked with a move for free agent Paul Pogba. However, they face competition from Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad for his signature, which might force them to look for alternatives.
