Corinthians head coach Clarence Seedorf has urged his players to channel their inner fire down the final stretch of the Campeonato Brasileiro season following Friday's crucial 2-0 victory over relegation rivals Mirassol. Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Lucas Moura has revealed that he contemplated hanging up his boots immediately after suffering a ruptured right Achilles tendon at Sao Paulo earlier this year. The 34-year-old Brazilian attacker feared for his career inside the dressing room during May's 2-2 Campeonato Brasileiro draw against Bahia.

Former Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has revealed that he turned down an approach from Brazilian heavyweights Flamengo during the summer transfer window out of loyalty to boyhood club Palmeiras. Instead of returning to South America, the 29-year-old attacker completed a deadline-day switch from north London to Spanish giants Barcelona.

Brazil legend Neymar has been slapped with a multi-game suspension following a bizarre disciplinary breach during Santos’ recent domestic clash. The veteran forward was found guilty of violating new 'Vinicius rule' protocols designed to increase transparency and eliminate hidden abuse on the field.
