Today’s first big NFL game is Seahawks vs Jaguars at 1:00pm EDT at Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium. The Jaguars were home underdogs on Monday Night Football against the Chiefs but came away third straight victory.

Then, on Sunday Night Football, at 8:20pm EDT on NBC, the Chiefs will look to avoid a 2-4 start when they host the Lions. Detroit has averaged over 40 points per game over its last four, and I have no qualms going with over 53 points (-110). 

The Lions should find success against the Chiefs’ run defense (4.8 opponent yards per carry). So, take Lions RB David Montgomery over 41.5 yards (-118). 

Now, to the MLS, where LAFC (+145) can move to the top of the Western Conference with a win at Austin FC (+155) at 7:00pm EDT. 

LAFC are on a six-game winning streak and haven’t conceded in any of their last three games. Go with their moneyline.
