Poor approach cost Yanga

Yanga who are under caretaker bosses Noel Mwandila and Shadrack Nsajigwa had approached the game with a plan to frustrate Simba with  a more defensive game.

The approach did not seem to help them as Simba broke the deadlock through a set play in the 37th minute.

It was a huge task for Yanga to equalize that goal because Simba were in the first foot in every aspect of the game.

Yondani has to be handed a heavy punishment

The replays of the match show that Yanga skipper Kelvin Yondani had spit in the direction of Ghanaian Asante Kwasi in the first half.

That is not football at all and the football authority in Tanzania should take necessary actions against him.

This is not good picture for Tanzania football and if you consider that match caught the eyes of many people inside and outside the country.

The “invincible Simba” need five points to cap great season

Simba are on the brink of repeating a feat they managed five seasons ago where they won the league without tasting defeat.

The Dar es Salaam derby win over Yanga helped them to extend their unbeaten run to 26 games with only four games remaining.

They will head into their last four matches to seek only five points before clinching the title for the first time in five seasons.

Yanga have to concentrate on the Caf Confederation Cup

Yanga were beaten by Simba but they showed character to fight in such a big occasion despite their struggles off the pitch.

After losing the game against Simba they will turn to the CAF Confederation games where they have secured passage to the group stage.

Their first match will be away in Algeria against U.S.M Alger. When you look at their group which has the likes of Rayon Sports and Gor Mahia you will see that Yanga have a good chance of advancing forwad.
