Raja Casablanca v Aduana Stars Kick off, TV channel, squad news & preview

Aduana Stars head to Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca, Morocco, to face Raja Casablanca in the Caf Confederation Cup's Group A final game on Wednesday.

The Fire Club were stunned 2-0 at home a fortnight ago by Ivorian side Asec Mimosas, which means that the outcome of the final game will not have any bearing on how the group will pan out for them since they languish at the bottom with four points. They need another four points to sail through.

Match Preview

Raja, on the other hand, could finish as group winners if they defeat Aduana and if Asec share the spoils with or defeat AS Vita in the other game of the group in Abidjan.

The Green Eagles would be going all out for the kill in order to avoid rivals RSB Berkane who are tipped to top Group B.

Aduana coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi, who is playing his last game with the club, has already thrown in the towel even before kick-off after arriving in Morocco with only 14 players due to financial difficulties.

“Frankly, I think it’s impossible for us to win this match against Raja Casablanca," Kenichi told 442gh.

"This is because we arrived in Morocco with only 14 players and that will affect us negatively.

“The only motivation for the team is the presence of scouts who will watch this game and the stage the players will be playing on. Even with this, I’m not really sure how having only 14 players for a game as far as Morocco can help the team play well, so we may lose,” he added.

Aduana's record away in all Caf's inter-club competitions has been terrible. They are yet to pick a point on the road after six games.
