Patrick Eze powers Konyaspor to victory against Akhisar Belediyespor

The 24-year-old scored a second half goal to hand the Anatolian Eagle their second win in the Turkish topflight this season

Patrick Eze was on target as Konyaspor cruised to a 2-0 victory over Akhisar Belediyespor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.

Omer Ali Sahiner got the opener in the 18th minute of the encounter courtesy of an assist from Eren Albayrak.

Eze, who replaced Eren Albayrak in the second half sealed the victory for his team in the 73rd minutes and Nejc Skubic missed a glorious chance to increase the scoreline from the penalty spot at the death.

The Nigerian joined the Konya outfit in the summer from the Saudi Arabian side, Al-Qadsiah and has hit the ground running netting twice in his two appearances.

The forward will hope to add to his tally when the Anatolian Eagle lock horns with Vitoria Guimaraes in the Europa League game on Thursday.
