Simba Defender, Erasto Nyoni has revealed that he hopes his goal against Yanga has proved a point to his Simba doubters.

The former Azam man headed in a Shiza Kichuya’s free kick in the 37th minute to give his team a crucial victory over their arch rivals.

Nyoni who arrived at the club early this season from Azam FC told Goal that, he scored the most important goal of his career because it firstly decided the derby and secondly It helped the team move ahead in the tittle race this season.

“It’s my first time to score in such a tough game like that, but the goal proved that I am a very important player in the team. I think we’re going to win the title this season,” said Nyoni.

Simba edged closer to the title as the win helped them to extend their lead at the top to 14 points ahead of their arch rivals Yanga in second place.
