Nwakaeme fires Hapoel Be'er Sheva past Ludogorets Razgrad

Nigeria’s Anthony Nwakaeme was on target as Hapoel Be'er Sheva defeated Ludogorets Razgrad 2-0 in their first leg, third qualifying round of Europe’s elite club competition.

The forward powered his side ahead in the 19th minute of the encounter before Michael Ohana guaranteed victory with 11 minutes left to play.

Having helped the Camels breeze past Budapest Honved in the second round of qualifiers, the 28-year-old continued his brilliant form with the curtain raiser.

He put the ball past goalkeeper Jorge Broun after a brilliant one-two exchange with captain Maor Melikson.

And in the 79th minute, he turned provider for Ohana who fired the second goal to help the Israeli giants have a healthy win at the Turner Stadium.

A favourable result in the second leg at the Ludogorets Arena will see Barak Bakhar’s men progress to the group phase of the championship.
