Nakumatt purring on KPL promotion status

Promoted side Nakumatt FC's Secretary General Albert Wesonga can breathe a sigh of relief after it was confirmed that the team will take part in the top tier.

Initially, Nakumatt had been omitted from the initial fixture alongside Zoo Kericho, but the Sports Disputes Tribunal ruled otherwise. Wesonga says that his club can now train with their focus in the league.

"It was really hard to focus in training at times because even the players were not sure whether they are going to play in the top tier or not. It was a really bad situation for us. But right now we are training with a generated hope since we know where we will be playing.

"As I said earlier, we are going to fight for the top eight positions this time round because we have the players who can do that," he told Goal.

The top tier is set to kick-off on the 25th of this month as ruled by the SDT.
