Everything you need to know ahead of the Premier League clash at St Mary's on Sunday afternoon

Manchester City will look to become the first Premier League team to reach 100 points after breaking the all-time points record in midweek against Brighton.

Southampton provide the opposition for Pep Guardiola's side and only need to avoid a big defeat in order to stay in the Premier League next season.

But, with the champions having already scored a record-breaking 105 Premier League goals this season and needing the three points to reach the century, there could still be a few uncomfortable moments for Southampton's former City manager Mark Hughes.

Man City injuries

The only player set to miss out for City through injury is Sergio Aguero, who has an ongoing knee problem. Belgium international Vincent Kompany won't be risked from the start ahead of the World Cup.

Man City suspensions

Man City have no suspended players for this game.

Confirmed Man City starting line-up

There's no dream send-off for Yaya Toure, who misses out on the starting line-up and bench, while Benjamin Mendy is rested by Guardiola.

Bernardo Silva, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling start in a pacy attack, while John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are favoured in centre defence.

Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho have been ever-present in midfield and start again in their final game of 2017-18, alongside Ilkay Gundogan.

Claudio Bravo is favoured in goal to usual first-choice shot-stopper Ederson. Garbiel Jesus and Kyle Walker are heavyweight options on the bench.

Man City confirmed line-up vs Southampton: Bravo, Danilo, Stones, Laporte, Delph, Fernandinho, Gundogan, De Bruyne, B Silva, Sane, Sterling

Southampton team news

Southampton are expected to play as defensively as possible as they only need to avoid a heavy defeat to stay up, and that is only if Swansea beat Stoke.

Maya Yoshida's suspension period is over. Sofiane Boufal and Steven Davis are both injured, while Mario Lemina is a doubt.
