Gareth Bale has "fallen back in love with the game" after sealing his return to Tottenham, according to Wales assistant Robert Page. 

The 31-year-old managed to secure a season-long loan at Spurs from Real Madrid - where he had struggled for game time and consistency in recent years. 

Bale has already made six appearances for Jose Mourinho's side this season, contributing one goal and one assist in an encouraging start to date.

Gabriel Jesus at Man City due to Mancini error


Manchester City managed to land Gabriel Jesus after being offered a helping hand by former boss Roberto Mancini, with the Italian tactician unwittingly doing the Blues a favour during his time at Inter.

Back in 2016, a promising Brazilian forward on the books at Palmeiras began to attract interest from a number of clubs in Europe.

It appeared at one stage as though Serie A was destined to be his next port of call, with Inter keen on buying into his potential at San Siro.

Barca have deal in place for Garcia


Barcelona have a deal in place for Eric Garcia, according to Sport.

The Manchester City defender will, however, not be returning to his roots in Catalunya until his contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in the summer of 2021.

‘Upamecano? Koulibaly? Liverpool will sign A-list centre-half’


Liverpool will enter the January transfer market for an “A-list centre-half”, says Don Hutchison, with the Reds expected to set their sights on the likes of Dayot Upamecano and Kalidou Koulibaly.

He has told ESPN FC of injury struggles at Anfield: “I think what it does is it really pushes Liverpool into the transfer market to go and buy an A-list centre-half, and when Joe Gomez is back and when Virgil van Dijk is back, they've still got that quality.”

Sociedad may be willing to sell the 25-year-old for around €25 million (£22m/$30m) next year, with the Premier League clubs ready to do battle for his signature.

Januzaj, who began his professional career at Manchester United, is eager to secure a move in order to boost his chances of playing for Belgium at Euro 2021.

Torino have identified Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan as a transfer target - according to Calcio Mercato.

The 32-year-old nearly left San Siro to join Cagliari over the summer, having spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Sardegna Arena, but a final deal never materialised.

Torino are planning to make their own move for Nainggolan in January, and have already arranged a meeting with Inter officials to discuss his availability.

Atletico Madrid are set to reignite their interest in RB Leipzig midfielder Konrad Laimer - according to AS.

The Spanish giants failed with a summer approach for the 23-year-old, who still has three years to run on his current contract.

Emerson Palmieri has opened the door to a Chelsea exit next year, admitting that he would "love to return to Serie A".

Emerson has made 59 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea since joining the club from Roma for £18 million ($23m) in January 2018.

Atletico Madrid are prepared to sell Alvaro Morata to Juventus in order to land Paulo Dybala - as TNT Sports reports.

Morata is currently on loan at the Allianz Stadium, but his parent club are ready to sanction his permanent departure as they chase a deal for Dybala.

Atletico will offer Morata plus €35 million (£31m/$41m) for Dybala when the winter transfer window swings open on January 1.

Everton are ready to step up their interest in Real Madrid midfielder Isco - according to Le 10 Sport.

Carlo Ancelotti is eager to bring another of his former players to Goodison Park, having already acquired James Rodriguez from the Blancos over the summer.

Madrid are open to selling Isco too, but Everton will have to fork out around €20 million (£18m/$24m) to secure his services.

The Red Devils could look to sell either Phil Jones or Marcos Rojo in order to bring in the 21-year-old next year.

Christian Eriksen could leave Inter in the winter transfer window - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Danish midfielder has struggled for regular playing time under Antonio Conte since moving to San Siro from Tottenham in January.

Inter are ready to cash in on Eriksen when the market reopens, with Paris Saint-Germain thought to be the most likely next destination for the 28-year-old.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is close to agreeing a new deal at Milan - according to Calcio Mercato.

The Italian goalkeeper's agent has been holding out for an extension worth €8 million-per-year, with the Rossoneri now ready to reach a compromise.

Milan want to tie Donnarumma down to fresh terms which will see him remain at San Siro until 2024, and are confident a renewal will be finalised in the coming weeks.

Liverpool are hoping to deal with their defensive crisis by signing Olympiakos defender Ruben Semedo in January, reports the Express.

The Reds are currently missing Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez to long-term injuries, while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho have also been absent recently.

Twenty-six-old Semedo is a Portuguese international who has played in La Liga with Villarreal recently.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos and the club's president Florentino Perez will speak publicly about the defender's contract on Monday, according to Football Espana

The 34-year-old's contract expires at the end of this season and is currently in negotiations with Los Blancos officials over a new deal.

Ramos reportedly wants to stay at the Bernabeu but is looking for a deal longer than Real Madrid's current policy of only offering 12-month contracts for players over 30.

Northern Ireland boss Ian Baraclough insists the country won't lose players from the national team after their Euro 2020 qualifying playoff final loss to Slovakia.

Questions marks have been asked about the futures of players such as 35-year-old captain Steven Davis, but Baraclough says there won't be a player exodus.

"Those in the dressing room can all go again," Baraclough said, as reported by Sports Mole.

"There was nobody found wanting there. You talk about Davo who is a massive character and a driving force for everybody. He's still playing at a very good level.

"I've never spoken or thought about anybody finishing their international career. Our two centre-backs are only in their early 30s, they could play for another six, seven, eight years. I have no thoughts on that.

"This is hurting and this will hurt but we will regroup and it will be tough watching the Euros for sure. It is the worst I've felt after a game but they are a group that has shown time and time again that they are resilient and they will pick themselves up."

The FA is in talks with UEFA to make the UK the sole host for next summer's rescheduled Euro 2020 tournament, the Daily Mail reports.

The tournament is due to take place around Europe, but the Covid-19 pandemic has thrown up a myriad of travel restrictions. As such, UEFA ideally wants the competition played in one nation, and the UK has stepped forward.

Kylian Mbappe will only sign a new PSG deal if he is allowed to leave the club if a certain value is matched, AS believes.

The paper reports that he has turned down three offers from the Ligue 1 club already and could leave for around €180 million (£161m/$213m) in the summer.

If a minimum-fee release clause were inserted into the deal, it would likely be closer to Neymar's €222m world-record fee.

Strasbourg field two offers for Simakan


Strasbourg have had two offers for defender Mohamed Simakan, according to Le10Sport.

Both AC Milan and Lokomotiv Moscow have tabelled offers for the youngster. The Serie A side have offered €12 million (£11m/€14m) plus €2m in bonuses. The Russians have offered an extra €1m in bonus payments.
