KPL to unveil Bamba Sport as broadcast partner

Bamba Sport is set to replace SuperSport as the official Broadcast partner for Kenyan Premier League.

The new partnership which is understood to be in the region of Sh36million and will run for the next six months is set to be unveiled on Tuesday in Nairobi. SuperSport walked out of Kenyan football last April citing breach of contract by the league managers but Bamba Sport, which also broadcasts the lower league tier, is set to take up the mantle from the giant South African Sports channel.

KPL have confirmed through a statement obtained by Goal. "You are invited to a press conference to unveil a new Kenyan Premier League 2017 Season Broadcast partner. The event will take place on Tuesday at Sarova Hotel in Nairobi."

However, Goal now understands that the deal is not part of the proposal tabled to Fifa by Football Kenya Federation seeking for funds to produce their own content after SuperSport pulled out. “That is an ongoing process and we will announce it soon,” revealed FKF communication officer, Barry Otieno.

SuperSport has been KPL official Broadcast partner for the last 10 years.
