Gor Mahia star doubtful for Bandari clash

Gor Mahia defender Godfrey Walusimbi is sweating over his fitness hours before they take on Bandari in GOtv Shield round of 32.

The two teams are set to face each other this weekend at Thika Municipal Stadium hoping to go through. K'Ogalo Organizing Secretary Judith Nyangi has confirmed to Goal that the player trained alone on Thursday.

"Everyone one is fit and ready for our match against Bandari, but the only concern is for Walusimbi who did not train with the team on Thursday. He trained alone because of a knock he is nursing. I hope he will recover on time for the match, we all know how important he is in our team.

"The spirit is high in camp, and our eyes are set on the prize, we believe we have what it takes to progress."

Gor Mahia will use the match to test their players ahead of upcoming high profile friendly against Everton FC next week.
