FA Cup: Hearts, Kotoko handed 'cheap' oppositions in round 16

The 16 clubs who progressed from the Round of 32 of the FA Cup competition have been handed their respective opponents for the next round

Ghana Football Association's committee in charge of the FA Cup has successfully held the draw for the Round of 16 of the competition in Accra on Wednesday.

Giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have been handed second-tier sides Wassaman and Accra Young Wise respectively but while the Porcupines play as hosts, the Phobians will make a short trip within Accra.

Defending champions Bechem United  travel to Berekum to lock horns with Chelsea at the Golden City Park in the Brong Ahafo derby while, Liberty Professionals, after coming from behind to defeat Uncle T FC 2-1 at the Carl Reindolf Park, will travel to play Danbort FC.

Nea Salimina cruised past Techiman XI Wonders in a marathon penalty shootouts in the previous round and will welcome yet another second-tier side Steadfast to the Agyeman Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro. Ghana Premier League champions Wa All Stars will face Samatex.

All the matches have been scheduled for June 16-18, 2017.
