Everton v Apollon Betting: Toffees to get Europa League campaign back on track

Everton will be hoping to bounce back from an opening 3-0 defeat at Atalanta when they welcome Apollon to Goodison Park for Thursday's Europa League clash.

That result left the Toffees bottom of Group E after one game, although they are clear 2/7 (1.29) favourites with SportPesa to get back on track by collecting maximum points in this one.

Meanwhile, Sofronis Avgousti's side scored a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Lyon in their first match, but are 10/1 (11.00) outsiders to build on that result with a shock win here.

The guests have actually drawn four of their last five fixtures in all competitions, and you can get odds of 17/4 (5.25) on them claiming a share of the spoils once again.

The third match in what turned out to be four-game losing streak in all competitions, Ronald Koeman's men were lucky to leave Italy with just a 3-0 defeat after being thoroughly outclassed by Atalanta.

However, having put an end to that poor run by winning both of their last two matches, they should be feeling confident of putting in a far more convincing performance in front of their own fans.

Having finished third in the Cypriot league last season, the Blue-Whites are unlikely to provide too much of a threat to their opposition's mini revival - particularly if recent European form is anything to go by.

While they may have won once in three home games on their last appearance in the Europa League group stages back in 2014, the visitors suffered three defeats from three on the road - conceding 12 goals and scoring just one.

Considering they have also only managed one victory from their opening five domestic league games this season, it is hard to see Apollon improving on that poor away record on Merseyside.

Instead, odds of 20/27 (1.74) are not to be missed on a newly confident Everton revitalising their Europa League campaign by winning by at least two clear goals on Thursday.
