El Kanemi Warriors want to continue impressive home run against MFM - Kofarmata

Bello Kofarmata says El Kanemi Warriors are hoping to continue their impressive home record against MFM with another victory in Sunday's Nigeria Professional Football League clash.

Kofarmata was the matchwinner for the Borno Army on Wednesday when they defeated Abia Warriors 1-0 at the El Kanemi Sports Complex. And the striker has predicted another victory at their fortress as they aim to run the rule over Fidelis Ilechuwku's side once again.

“The game against Abia Warriors was very tough for us but we thank God we were able to withstand them with the only goal I scored. MFM are next in line and they will fall just like they did last season on the final day. We have been doing well in our home matches and we want to continue with that on Sunday,” Kofarmata told Goal.

“We had a good pre-season but were unfortunate to lose to Rivers United because those that watched the match will admit that we played better even though the game held in Port Harcourt.

“We are a complete team and any team that wants to beat us must suffer before doing so. We have seen MFM in their opening two games and have not been the same like they were last season.”

The former Heartland and FC Ifeanyiubah attacker says he won’t put himself under any pressure of setting any goals targets for himself but that it will be his desire to score as many goals as possible and thus help El Kanemi move to the top half of the league standings.

“With the type of pre-season we had we do not need any soothsayer to tell us we must do well. We must task ourselves to ensure El Kanemi are in top half of the table from the beginning of the season to the end.

“It is my desire to score as many goals as possible to help my team achieve our set targets. I won’t be putting myself under any additional burden by stating that this is the number of goals I will like to score,” he concluded.
