Chinaza Uchendu scores in Braga's thrashing of Albergaria

Nigeria international Chinaza Uchendu scored once as leaders Braga crushed Albergaria 9-0 in a Portuguese Women's League encounter.

Uchendu scored her seventh goal of the season and also provided an assist as Miquel Santos' side stepped up their bid to reclaim the league diadem this term.

Francisca Cardoso put the home side in front eight minutes into the game before Hannah Keane doubled the lead five minutes later and Vanessa Marques fired home the third in the 31st minute.

After the restart, goals from Marques and Laura Luís extended the hosts' lead to 5-0 inside 15 minutes before strikes from Murnan, Luis and Regina sealed the big win in the last 10 minutes.

With their latest win, Braga remain leaders with 55 points - six above closest challengers Sporting after 19 games this season.

Uchendu will be hoping to maintain her scoring form when Braga welcome Benfica in the second leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-final on Saturday.
